Comprehensive Service
Ampersand Print offers authors three tiers of service from comprehensive ghostwriting to editorial or publication only. The author bears an increasing burden of responsibility for lesser service packages.
Pricing is based on a typical professional business book of 250 pages. We will work with you on custom pricing for custom projects, such as large format photographic folios, highly illustrated children’s books or simpler forms like unillustrated poetry.
All pricing is denoted in U.S. dollars.
Author Responsible to:
- Complete interview or survey
- Provide one-page synopsis of book and one page for each chapter
- Specify service requirements (eg research particular items, identify sources, convert sources to foot or end notes and cite for bibliography)
- Provide content sources
- Review, edit, approve research
- Review, edit, approve ghostwriting
- Review and sign off on final edit
- Review, edit, approve citations and bibliography
- Review, edit, approve cover design
- Solicit endorsement quotes
- Approve pricing by mode (ebook, soft and hard cover) and by market
- Market and promote within personal network
Ampersand Print responsible to:
- Author interview
- Review synopsis x book & chapter
- Book organization
- Research (<12 hours)
- Ghostwriting (<80 hours)
- Edit, rewrite, supplement (<80 hours)
- Copyright approvals or requirements (eg seek approval to reproduce an image or purchase with author approval)
- Bibliography
- Cover design
- Formatting for production and sale on Amazon
- Marketing (PR and social media plan + author page design)
- Endorsements page(s)
- Author bio page and cover notation
- Barcode and ISBN purchase and cover placement
- Benchmark and propose pricing by mode (ebook, soft and hard cover) and by market
